Danube-wide Monitoring at SEE Annual Conference

On May 11th, the ETC-SEE Programme organized their Annual Conference in Sofia, Bulgaria. This event is designed to bring together stakeholders from the programme management, from the European Commission,as well as from current and potential lead and project partners.

This year, three main topics were discussed:

The morning session focused on synergies between EU policy and the ETC-SEE programme, while the first afternoon session gave some preliminary insights into the plans for the fourth Call for Proposals.

In the late afternoon, six projects were given the chance to present one of their results or activities as a best practice to all present stakeholders, and DANUBEPARKS of course used this chance.

We presented the Danube-wide Monitoring of Little-ringed Plover and Sandmartin, which is currently ongoing along the whole Danube River. The lively presentation and booth at the project fair included an online game, videos, models of the bird and its eggs, as well as a mistery poster. All in all, the conference as well as the DANUBEPARKS presentation there was a big success!
