Impressions from a travelling exhibition

The international artwork contest "A Chance for the Blue Danube" already reached its 14th edition this year. Organized by the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Authority in Romania, with the goal to raise awareness on endangered ecosystems of the Danube, art students from all Danube countries were invited to participate.

A total of 190 works of art reached the Jury this year, coming from four Danube countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Austria. The full catalogue, with the winners and special mentions right at the beginning, is available here. The exhibition, showing between 40 and 80 works depending on the available space, has travelled a lot already this year:

On June 5th it was opened to the public in Tulcea (Romania), at the Danube Delta Eco-Museum Center, prizes were awarded after a period of also public votes on June 29th. From July 23rd, it was then shown in Belene and Ruse (Bulgaria) for about one month, from where the exhibition continued its journey to Budapest. Since mid September, the exhibition can now be visited in Kopacki rit Nature Park in Croatia, and will then also reach Bratislava in mid of October.
