The Duna-Dráva National Park organized the International White-tailed Eagle conference in autumn 2011 as one main focal point for dissemination of project results to relevant stakeholders.
Within two days, numerous interesting presentations as well as an excursion showed the status of White-tailed Eagle in the Danube River countries. Relevant threats were discussed and solutions as well as current initiatives proposed, the experience on successful protection actions was shared among experts.
As one major highlight, the Action Plan for the White-tailed Eagle, elaborated by the DANUBEPARKS partnership in collaboration with external experts and to be published by the Council of Europe / Bern Convention, was presented in its final version to the experts.
