Walking on nature trails

The Posavina Trail in Čigoč, Length of trails: 4.200 m, path is a circular and the trail has a resting place.

This trail starts from Čigoč and heads in the direction of the pasture. This learning trail for walkers about: Europeanwhite stork village, floodplain, flood protection and traditionalherding.

The Borderers’ Trail in Krapje, Length oftrails: 2.500 mand the trail has two observation towers

This trail starts from Krapje and heads in the direction of the Orlinci pasture, on which the main herd of the now critically endangered Slavonian-Sermian grey cattle(called the Podolac) grazes in the open. The track continues towards the biggest nesting ground of spoonbills in Croatia, the Krapje Đol Ornithology Reserve.  Once the Military Border stretched along this area – the border between the Austro-Hungarian and the Ottoman empires. For this reason, along this trail, replicas of the wooden historical observation points on stilts, the chardaks, as they are called, have been built, to recall the tempestuous history of the Military Border and the life of the Borderers. To cover this trail, you need about two and a half to three hours of pleasant walking.

Tena’s Trail in Piljenice – a forest learning trail, Length oftrails: 2.500 m and the trail has a resting place
