On June 5th, the Exhibition “A Chance for the Blue Danube” was opened with the artworks of pupils aged 15-18.
Over 200 posters have been received from four countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Austria. In June, the exhibition was shown in the visitor centre in Tulcea of the Danube-Delta Biosphere Reserve. During this time, the voting procedure took place: 50% of the rating came from the official Jury, 25% from the DANUBEPARKS partners, and 25% from the public by voting directly in the exhibition or via the website www.thebluedanube.ro.
On June 29th, the winners have been announced in a ceremony: You can download the results here.
Unfortunately, only one video has been sent in for the competition in time. A second one reached us after the deadline. The single video entry on time received an honourable mention as well.
The exhibition is currently in Bulgaria: Persina Nature Park (Belene) and Kalimok-Brushlen Protected Site (Tutrakan) are showing it in their visitor centres. The openings were attended by local school classes as well as regional media.
During the upcoming months, the exhibition will travel further upstream: In August, it will be shown in Duna-Dráva National Park, afterwards in Duna-Ipoly National Park (both Hungary) until finally in October it arrives in Slovakia, where BROZ will show it in Bratislava.
