On September 4th, the DANUBEPARKS Network celebrates the second international Danube Festival jointly, this time in the Donau-Auen National Park (Orth/Donau, Austria).
The festival will give all visitors the opportunity to get to know the protected areas along the Danube – their natural treasures as well as visitor services and local products. On this special occasion where all come together to get to know their cultures, the international fish soup tasting will be the one element combining all the countries and protected areas by the fish of the Danube and at the same time giving space for local specialities.
2011 was the Romanian Year in the visitor centre in Orth/Donau, with a photo exhibition in the tower of the castle, produced by the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Authority as a part of the DANUBEPARKS project. So, the Danube Festival will also be the final celebration of this year, involving music and dance from the Danube Delta and surroundings.
