On the 1st of September, the LIFE WILDisland project has officially started!
Grant Agreement is prepared, and following the time frame of the project, the LIFE WILDisland kick-off conference is announced. Although the project team is closely monitoring the development of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Kick-off conference is planned to take place in Vienna on the 15th and 16th of December 2021, in the Vienna International Center (headquarter of the United Nations, following the ICPDR Ordinary Meeting). At the same time, it is planned that the Steering Committee Meeting will take place, as well as a technical training seminar with instructions from Monitoring Team.
The LIFE WILDisland has been already presented at the International LIFE Wild River Conference at the Lech River, and the project – as one of the largest LIFE projects approved - found great interest. On 29th September 2021, it will be presented at the Symposium with international participation in Kopački rit Nature Park which is co-organized by DANUBEPARKS Association.
In the next period, bilateral meetings within a project consortium are planned as a base for the upcoming steps of project implementation!
