Little-ringed Plover Monitoring: Workshop and Video

One of the DANUBEPARKS key activities is the Danube-wide monitoring of Little-ringed Plover and Sandmartin. Both birds are indicator species for dynamic river habitats. The monitoring for the whole Danube will take place in 2011 - currently we are preparing a Workshop on methodology for the staff of all partners, which will take place on June 2nd-4th in Duna-Ipoly National Park.

During a preparation meeting of Gyula Kiss (Duna-Ipoly National Park), Matthias Schmid (Bird Life Austria) and Georg Frank (Donau-Auen National Park), we took this short video of the discussions, the bird itself and its habitats!
