On the November 15th 2024, the workshop with DANUBEPARKS members from Bavaria was organized in Auenzentrum Neuburg-Ingolstadt.
The workshop started with the presentation of the latest information regarding Danube WILDisland RRI and EURENI project and discussion on the possibility of the upcoming actions in the Upper Danube. In April 2025 the public event of “Bavarian Danube WILDsiland Report” will take place so the opportunity was utilised to start the early preparation of the later.
The workshop was finalized with the interesting excursion to the Geißler Auwald where the Upper Danube host demonstrated the results of the local efforts to restore the floodplain forest and increase biodiversity to preserve the last parts of the wilderness along the Danube in Bavaria.
